Villas-Boas: "If luck had played a better role for us, maybe the thing would have been very different."

First defeat of the season for Chelsea and first negative feelings in a game. André Villas-Boas blames luck and said if they had taken advantage of the goal chances they could have won. He said: "It was a strange game, very, very open and with plenty of opportunities for both teams. If luck had played a better role for us, maybe the thing would have been very different. We had some very good opportunities to even the score or even the first part to get ahead. The score went crazy in the first half, but we had a good opportunity to do something in the game".

The Portuguese cocah said about the referees: "I'm very, very unhappy with a poor performance from the referees, which in the end had a decisive role in the result, and I don't take it very, very lightly."
When journalists accused Torres missed a chance to score on an open net he defended him saying that the world's best strikers sometimes has bad days, like Rooney, who failed to score a penalty.
